All But 7
We had our first official film shoot for MST's Filmmaking Movie All But 7. Like most film productions we have begun filmming out of order starting with the ending first and working our way back to the beginning. For filmming out of order everyone seemed to know their characters motivations and did an awesome job. Though we didn't cover much, what we got looks.....amazing. Check back soon to see official trailer to All But 7 but in the meantime check out below.

Houston Chronicle
Months after Alex Mulray and the stolen HeART premiered the press is still covering it.
Amelia and Alex Mulray and the stolen HeART are online over at the Houston Chronicle. It's a quick interview with Amelia and some really nice quotes from some of our great actresses in Alex Mulray. Check it out over at The Chron.

Filmmaking at MST
So we are now two classes in and the idea for this Fall's Filmmaking movie is starting to get some legs. The first class was a good start, we went over some technical apsects of cinematography and filmed everyones slates. After going over different types of genres and hearing what everyones favorite movies are, there was a slight bump in the road when it came to what kind of movie would be made. So we threw out some ideas for potential movies and moved on to the next class.
The second class was alot more productive. Again we started out going over some of the logistics of film. Then it was time to film some sides. We had a little of everything, a side from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the series), Alex Mulray and the stolen HeART and Jacob's Ladder (censored of course). This was a good learning experience and might end up finding it's way onto the special features of the DVD. Then came the "pitch" by Julian. He wrote out the first few pages of his film which came from an idea we proposed of everyone being the last one's on earth. After reading it over everyone seemed to be hooked and we might be looking at a potential Post-Apocalyptic film???
From there the ball started rolling and we got some good stuff going, from the why to the where to who everyone is. Everyone began building there characters and the interactions they all have with eachother and now Ron and Julian are working together to hammer out a script to present this Saturday. This movie is beginning to sound intense and thought provoking.

Theatrical Directing Debut
I (Amelia) am directing Clara's Play at the Earnest Holley Memorial Theater, which will run Fridays and Saturdays - August 28th & 29th, Sept. 4th & 5th and Sept. 11th & 12th. This is my directing debut with adult actors and it has been a great learning experience. I was previously unsure of my abilities, but this production has given me confidence and renewed my drive to become a professional director. I hope you will all come out and see the hard work we've all been putting in.Sverre Lundgrensen - Blake McMullin
Clara O’Keefe - Joecile Harlow
Sheriff Olson - James Henderson
Father Dorneski - Thad Reyes
Set Design - Art Ornelas

What's Next?
Well Alex Mulray and the Stolen HeART is in the can. The premiere was awesome, we raised some money and the Village Southwest Newspaper picked it up and did a story on it, along with the Houston Chronicle. Everyone involved in Alex Mulray is pumped and ready for more! So now everyone wants to know....What's Next?Since there seems to be an interest in what RicOrnel Productions is up to, we decided the best way to keep everyone updated is to start a web log, (oh sorry, blog). Though we have big plans for the Alex Mulray-verse, we're keeping that under wraps for now and seeing what happens to Alex Mulray & Co. when they face...the Film Festival Circuit.
In the meantime I'm working on a project and it's coming along nicely (more on that later) and starting September 5th we will be teaching a Filmmaking class for KOS at Main Street Theater. It's going to be a lot of fun and if you saw Alex Mulray in Rice Village then you know what's to come. If you are interested in taking the class then get on the horn and contact Troy over at MST or visit their website. Space is limited (10 students max for the class) so get to it!
